The court arrested the coordinator of the “Left Front” Sergei Udaltsov for 30 days

The Moscow Meshchansky Court sentenced Sergei Udaltsov to 30 days of administrative arrest. This was reported by his wife in social networks.

She also said that she intends to appeal the verdict. She calls the accusation absolutely far-fetched: on July 28, on the day of the rally against the pension reform, no one made claims against Sergei Udaltsov.

The arrest, she said, is aimed at preventing him from organizing new protests against the pension reform, in particular the September 2 march and rally.

Udaltsov was detained on August 14 in connection with a repeated violation of the rules for holding a public event. As he was told in the department, the administrative case is connected with the fact that before the start of the event on July 28, when the participants were gathering, he “organized another, unauthorized event, voiced slogans, destroyed portraits of people who looked like members of the government.”

Recall that on July 28, in Moscow and other cities coordinated actions against raising the retirement age were held of Russia. Most of them, including the one that took place in the capital, were organized by the Communist Party.
