Left Front coordinator Sergei Udaltsov was detained in Moscow

In Moscow, the coordinator of the Left Front and the confidant of the candidate for mayor Vadim Kumin Sergey Udaltsov was detained. This was tweeted by his wife Anastasia Udaltsova.

According to her, the man is being taken to the Krasnoselskoye police department, the materials are compiled because of a rally against raising the retirement age, which took place in Moscow on July 28.

• A draft law on a phased increase in the retirement age in the country from 2019 was submitted to the State Duma. A petition on Change.org against the reform has already garnered almost three million signatures.
• On July 28 and 29, protests against raising the retirement age took place in several Russian cities.
