reports Lyubimov is accused of failure to fulfill the obligation to submit a notification of second citizenship (Article 330.2 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, the activist has not notified migration authorities about his US citizenship since 2014.
Lyubimov himself denies having a second citizenship. As evidence, he provided the publication with a copy of his American visa from 2012 to 2015. According to him, American visas are not issued to US citizens.
Lyubimov told the Activatica portal that he was searched. FSB officers looked for his American passport, but never found it.
