Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the parliaments of Dagestan, Ingushetia and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug candidates for the post of heads of these regions. Parliaments, in accordance with the law, will have to choose the head of the region from three candidates.
In Dagestan, Putin proposed the candidacies of the interim head of the republic, Vladimir Vasilyev, as well as the two vice-speakers of the parliament, Kamil Davdiev and Makhmud Makhmudov.
In Ingushetia, parliamentarians will choose between the current head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, the vice-speaker of the parliament, Ilyas Bogatyrev, and the deputy of the city council of Nazran, Uruskhan Yevloev.
The President nominated Acting Governor Dmitry Artyukhov, Deputy Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Committee on Social Policy Alexander Golubenko, and Vitaly Lagutin, Director of the YNAO Transport Directorate, for the post of head of the YNAO.
