In Ingushetia, organizers of a rally for direct election of the head of the republic are not allowed into the administration building. It is reported by "Caucasus. Realities".

Activists have not been able to get into the administration building for a week to file a notice to hold a rally.

“We wanted to apply for August 25, and now we just need to do it on time, but we simply cannot physically get into the office. Security won't let you. They say: “We have a direct order not to let you in,” Mikail Khuchiev, head of the regional branch of the International Party of Russia, told the publication.

Khuchiev left an application for the event in a letter box near the government building, and also mailed it. “It is also not clear what is happening there. I am tracking the letter. It lay for two days, then the courier took it to the government, but returned. Now it seems to be at the sorting point in Nazran,” he says.

Malsag Uzhakhov, chairman of the Council of Ingush teips, who is also trying to coordinate the action, is also not allowed into the administration.

Earlier, the prosecutor of the republic and the Magassky district court declared illegal the government's refusal to approve a similar rally, which was scheduled for August 11.

• On June 2, a rally was held in Magas demanding that the people of Ingushetia be returned the right to elect the head of the republic by direct voting. The rally was attended by 300 to 500 people. At least 12 participants received fines after the rally.
