The World Court for the Meshchansky District of Moscow sentenced to 11 months of corrective labor Alexei Shcherbakov, who attacked the former coordinator of the Moscow headquarters of Alexei Navalny Nikolai Lyaskin with a metal pipe. It is reported by Mediazona.
Shcherbakov was found guilty under Article 116 of the Criminal Code (beatings). The defendant pleaded guilty, but during interrogation in court he stated that the attack was staged at the request of Lyaskin himself. Lyaskin, on the other hand, believes that the customer of the crime wanted to cripple him or kill him. Lyaskin's lawyer Vladimir Voronin requested a real term for the attacker. Lyaskin intends to appeal the verdict.
