The number of users connected to the TNT-Premier video service exceeded the forecast by hundreds of times, Gazprom-Media holding reported, citing Huawei's press service. This Chinese company developed the technological platform for the service. Due to such loads, Huawei had to immediately scale the platform and expand access channels, the holding said in a statement. A Huawei representative confirmed this information to Vedomosti.

This is how Gazprom-Media responded to Vedomosti's request about technical difficulties when launching the service. TNT-Premier began operating yesterday, August 16. Subscribers can watch series and shows from Gazprom-Media entertainment channels here before they air.

Projects are available through the service website, mobile applications and on Smart TV, a subscription costs 129 rubles per month.

A Vedomosti journalist also encountered difficulties registering for TNT-Premier on an Apple smartphone and on a smartphone running the Android operating system. After registering in the first half of the day on August 17, the journalist was unable to launch a single video in either application. Judging by the posts and comments on Facebook , at least some users of the site of the same name cannot watch TV series on TNT-Premier now. A Vedomosti journalist was also unable to watch some episodes of the series posted on this site.

Gazprom-Media's statement indicated that work to correct errors on the site "is actively underway and is already nearing completion." By 19:00 Moscow time, a Vedomosti journalist was able to watch the video both on the TNT-Premier site and in the service's applications.

A Gazprom-Media representative declined to disclose how many users TNT-Premier has already collected, only specifying that several tens of thousands of people registered on the platform in the first few hours after its launch. By the evening of August 17, the TNT-Premier application had been installed on more than a hundred thousand mobile devices, he added. The application has indeed become popular, Vedomosti found out – it currently ranks second in downloads in the rating of free applications in the Russian App Store and fourth in the rating of free applications in the Entertainment category of Google Play. On the other hand, Google Play indicates that the application has been downloaded only 10,000 times in this store.
