The Investigative Committee initiated the case of abuse of authority (Article 286 of the Criminal Code) after the detention of a man in Domodedovo, which fell on the video, the department reported .
The Mash telegram channel with reference to unnamed sources reports that foreman Vladimir Elizarov and senior sergeant Nikolai Grigoryev were the suspect in the case.
The Moscow Komsomolets wrote that the detainee is called Andrei Kovalenko and he works as a Moscow metro driver. According to the newspaper, the court fined it 2 thousand rubles for petty hooliganism. In the world section No. 36 of the Domodedovo district of the Moscow Region, Mediazone reported that they did not consider the administrative affairs of people with such a name.
Earlier, TASS, citing the press service of the Department of Transport of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Central Federal District, said that with respect to the detainee, they made a protocol under part 2 of Article 20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (petty hooliganism, associated with disobedience to the legal requirement of a representative of the authorities).
The police reported that when patrolling the area near Domodedovo Airport, police noticed a man, "drinking alcohol, which was expressed by obscene abuse and behaved defiantly." The department claims that during the audit, the detainee pulled out his passport from the hands of the policeman and obscenely insulted him.
“The citizen refused to voluntarily proceed to the duty unit, so physical strength and special equipment were applied to him - handcuffs,” the department noted.
On August 19, YouTube published a video of the detention of Kovalenko. On the video, the policeman bends the man and beats him, the other policeman holds the detainee's wife, and the little son throws a bag of things into the employee, the face and shirt of the detainee in the blood.
