The prisoner's wife spoke about the riot in the Perm colony; The FSIN called it a provocation of five people

The wife of one of the prisoners at IK-37 in the Chusovsky district of the Perm Territory, Zhanna Tsvirka , told 59.ru that the convicts staged a riot due to a conflict with the authorities of the colony. The Federal Penitentiary Service did not confirm this information to the publication and called it “manipulation of public opinion.”

According to Tsvirka, on August 17, the entire detachment of 100 people was lined up on the parade ground. The convicts demanded a meeting with the prosecutor, as they were dissatisfied with the work of the colony administration. The prisoners were denied a meeting, ten people were sent to a punishment cell. After this, on the night of August 17-18, five people, as Tsvirka says, tried to commit [Roskomnadzor].

Now, according to the prisoner’s wife, the assistant prosecutor has left for IK-37. The regional administration of the Federal Penitentiary Service told 59.ru that prisoners “deliberately provoke with their behavior” in order to “displace the demanding head of the colony.” There was no riot in the colony, the FSIN insists.

“This is manipulation of public opinion by the convicted. On August 18, a total of five convicts did not obey the legal demands of the colony officers, and they were legally placed in a punishment cell. Anonymous messages on IK-37 arrive regularly, but these are provocations on the part of convicts. In connection with this, we are forced to go to court to protect our reputation,” the service said.

The FSIN also added that former judges, prosecutors, employees of the FSB, FSIN and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are serving their sentences in IK-37, so “such messages are received regularly.”

Later, the Perm Investigative Committee told TASS that an investigation was launched in the colony due to an attempt to organize mass unrest.

As 59.ru emphasized, the relatives of Zhanna Tsvirka’s husband had previously contacted the prosecutor’s office because they decided that the prisoner had been unreasonably placed in a punishment cell. Then the prosecutor's office satisfied the complaint and decided to release the convict from the punishment cell.

According to the chairman of the Perm Public Monitoring Commission, Georgy Sitnikov, Zhanna Tsvirka’s husband complained of feeling unwell, he was given a painkiller, which made him fall asleep at the wrong time. For this he was sent to a punishment cell.
