Convicted publicist Boris Stomakhin spoke about threats from a prison officer

Publicist Boris Stomakhin, sentenced to seven years in prison, spoke in a letter to Natalya Gorilskaya about threats from a prison officer in the city of Balashov.

He stated that "one of the local chiefs" burst into his cell, kicked him in the legs and was about to hit him in the face. In addition, according to Stomakhin, the officer threatened him with a punishment cell and daily beatings in the punishment cell. The publicist noted that he did not know the name and position of the man, but he was sure that on May 30 he supervised two searches in his cell in one evening.

• Publicist Boris Stomakhin was sentenced to seven years in a strict regime colony for his blog posts. He was found guilty of public incitement to terrorism (Part 1 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). In total, taking into account the first term, Stomakhin was sentenced to 12 years.
