On November 5, 2017, the “revolution” was to be held in Russia, which was appointed by oppositionist Vyacheslav Maltsev on this date. Although he himself left a criminal case against him from the country, his supporters (those who were not arrested in advance) still took to the streets in their cities. In Rostov-on-Don, two-18-year-old Yang Sidorov and 21-year-old Vladislav Mordasov came to the area of ​​the regional government with posters. For more than nine months they have been in jail on charges of organizing riots.

The grandfather of one of them, the veteran of wars in Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Vladimir Sidorov came to Moscow in a desperate attempt to save his grandson. He told the special correspondent of Novaya Gazeta Ilya Azar about the innocence of Jan, who did not support Maltsev, but wanted to serve his homeland.

18-year-old Jan Sidorov, a 3rd year student of the Rostov College, grew without a father. He always talked closely with his grandfather Vladimir Yulianovich, he was his guardian. “The kid was brought up the same way as me. To make it clear, I served in the border worships for 26 years, went through two wars - Afghanistan and Tajikistan. And I prepared him to go to serve. I wanted to give him to Suvorovskoye, ”the reserve lieutenant colonel tells me.

He bitterly admits that “under the influence of mother” his grandson “categorically” refused to serve a couple of years ago. True, then changed his mind. “Having learned in college, he openly began to ask me questions about how to go to serve. That is, he had an understanding of the need to serve the Motherland in his mind. We decided the question that after the college he would go to study at the border school, ”says Vladimir Yulianovich.

- That is, Yang is not an opposition?

- Absolutely, he is just a person with an active life position. He studied at the college at the Academy of National Economy and the civil service, he wrote a job in which he tried to understand what the problem was in the state. Despite his youth, he already has a rather sensible way of thinking.

Fatal chat

As the grandson of the lieutenant colonel of the reserve became interested (and became interested in) the ideas of the opposition politician Vladimir Maltsev, it is not clear - in conversations with his grandfather he did not mention him. Maltsev, a deputy of the first three convocations of the Saratov Regional Duma, became known in other regions of Russia after 2011 - thanks to his video blog "artillery".

In 2016, he, the nationalist, even became the second number in the list of the Liberal Party Parnassus in the elections to the State Duma. In recent years, Maltsev actively urged supporters to participate in the preparation of the “revolution”, which he appointed on November 5, 2017. Most of the opposition and experts were ironically, because the revolutions did not occur on the schedule, but Maltsev did not bother Maltsev, and he continued to bend his line.

- And what did Jan do in the chat of Maltsev's supporters? - I ask Vladimir Yulianovich.

- The chat was created by Vladislav Mordasov, with whom the grandson was not familiar before. He invited to chat to communicate everyone who has any problematic issues. It was not about participation in the riots, they wanted to prepare some kind of document and submit it to the local administration so that these problematic issues would be resolved and not hanging in the air.

- But wasn't it about the “revolution” on November 5?

- Yes, Mordasov called his chat, but neither he nor my grandson were members of the “artillery” ( Maltsev’s movement prohibited in Russia. - “New” ). After all, even Maltsev himself did not call for mass riots. There is nothing wrong with the statements associated with the disorder of our lives!

However, neither Yang Sidorov nor Mordasov wrote such messages in the chat. The grandson of Vladimir Yulianovich said there: “We are going to a peaceful rally at 12.00”, “Do not discredit yourself” and except that he used the word “Revolution”, which is not yet prohibited.

Grandfather is sure that the correspondence was used for provocative purposes, and his grandson and other persons passing in the case were victims. “The proof is that on October 31, 5 people appeared in a chat almost simultaneously - and maybe one under different nicknames. So they began to actively carry out hostile propaganda, provoke for violent actions, and the grandson’s statements are aimed at neutralization and absolutely positive, ”he says.

“But still, your grandson writes about the revolution.”

- The word “revolution” is an update, this is a movement forward, it is not a direct indication of violent actions. "Wikipedia" and the Explanatory Dictionary say this. This is all the nonsense of the blue mare, - answers Vladimir and takes out another document from the portfolio.

This is the conclusion of the forensic center about the statements in the chat, made in April 2018 by order of the investigator. The conclusions are the following: in a number of statements “we are talking about forcibly changing the constitutional system and violation of the integrity of the Russian Federation”, as well as “about hostile actions, including in relation to law enforcement officers”. Below are specific “illegal” phrases, but among their authors there is no Sidorov or Mordasov.

Vladimir Yulianovich explains: “My grandson at the first interrogation said that he saw how individuals were allowing too radical statements, so he tried to influence them. And then I asked the investigator the question: “Dear, if I am picking up 10 people now, and we go to the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or SK, where we directly call the cops so that they take a regular weapon and go to smash, it will be necessary to arrest the chiefs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Investigative Committee for organizing a site for this?” At first he fell into a stupor, and then said: "Horo-oh-eight question."

A rally for two

Maltsev himself in the summer of 2017 left Russia due to the initiation of a criminal case against him under the article “Creation of an extremist community”. But the members of this “community” remained in Russia and continued preparations for the appointed date. The police also did not inactive - on the eve of the action throughout Russia, about 400 people were detained.

But on November 5, in some cities, people still went outside. In Rostov, despite almost 200 participants in the Chat “Revolution”, only two came to the Square Square - Yan Sidorov and Mordasov.

The first in his hands was a poster with the text “Return the land of the Rostov Pogorelians”, the second was written: “The government is resigned”. Ian had in mind almost 700 residents of one of the quarters in the center of Rostov, where a fire occurred in August 2017. Residents did not arrange the amount of compensation paid. Mordasov later explained that his demand was a “cherry on the cake”, an attempt to bring officials to a conversation.

“There was no longer a single person on the square, no one came. They were immediately surrounded by 8 police officers who rewrote the content of the posters, demanded to present documents. The grandson had a constitution with him, he showed the police 31 an article, but they offered to go to the department, since they have allegedly invalid signatures in their passport, ”says Vladimir.

Another passing in the case - Vyacheslav Shashmin - was detained about two hundred meters from the square, in the courtyard of a residential building. There was no shashmin in the chat, with Sidorov and Mordasov he is still unfamiliar. The police were divorced in different rooms and began to interrogate. “I asked Jan if it had a moral impact on him.

The next day, everyone was taken to court, where they gave 7 days for an unauthorized picket. According to Vladimir Yulianovich, they were processed by employees of the E -E Center in the special reception (unit on counteracting extremism). After the criminal case was opened on November 10 under the 212 article, the Eshniks themselves took Mordasov, Sidorov and Shashmin from the special receipt and delivered them on their cars to the Investigative Committee.

On the way, employees of the EC Center once again explained to the “revolutionaries”, which will happen if they do not admit the preparation of riots. In particular, as Yang said, they threatened with rape.

“But they didn’t admit?”

-The kid, having experience of communicating with me, but still for 22 years as an intelligence officer, behaved freely during interrogation, talked with the investigator. Therefore, when the employees of the EE center went to the investigator in the office and asked: "He says?" - He answered: "He says."

Torture and pressure

So the grandson of Vladimir Yulianovich escaped the beating, and Mordasov was less fortunate.

“He is older and more likely, so he refused to testify against himself, was silent. As a result, he was brutally beaten: they put a gas mask on his head and held until convulsion began. Then they removed it, but he refused to sign a grateful. Then the gas mask was put on the second time, and two investigators and two “echics” kicked him as they wanted, ”says Grandfather Yana Sidorov.

He has the testimony of Mordasov in his hands, in which he describes in detail the torture applied to him.

The fact that Mordasov was tortured is confirmed by witnesses who were at that time in the corridor in the SK building, says Vladimir Yulianovich.

“They heard screams and saw the employees of the ED center in civilian clothes, one of which had an object in their hands, similar to the bit,” he says. “There are two camcorders in the corridor, but they did not provide records from them or the court.”

Sidorov’s mothers were not informed about the detention of her son in the case of riots. She learned from the owner of the apartment that Yang was rented, when the search was there. She managed to get through to her son only when during the interrogation the investigator turned on the phone of Yana, and she received SMS that her son was on the network again. Upon learning what was happening, she quickly found Lisitsyn’s lawyer, who came to the SK building that same evening. However, the investigator, violating the Code of Criminal Procedure, did not allow Lisitsyn to the client.

After torture, Mordasov signed the testimony, but later refused them. “They will be recognized as unacceptable evidence due to the circumstances that opened,” the lieutenant colonel is sure. In the morning, when the employees of the EE Center read what was in the protocol of the interrogation of Jan Sidorov, then, according to his grandfather, they demanded to rewrite him, but the investigator allegedly replied that now it was too late to do this because of the lawyer who entered into business.

Vladimir Yulianovich has in the portfolio and a document on the refusal to institute criminal proceedings on the fact of exceeding by investigators of official powers (that is, participation in torture). The excuses of investigators in it are recorded as a carbon copy.

“If explanatory ones are written in the same words, then there is no need to say that an investigation of a crime was carried out. They gave me a good trump card, ”says the reserve lieutenant colonel.

He generally cannot believe what is happening with his grandson, and collects the mistakes of investigators and inconsistencies in the case, in which he is helped by a legal education, received not somewhere, but in the Higher School of the KGB of the USSR.

“The boys are accused of meeting in a cafe for planning riots, engaged in the selection of new participants and detailed briefing. But there was nothing! In the chat there is no phrases like: "You, Fedya, with your dozen go out of the other side of the square and wait for the signal." And they sat in a cafe, drank tea, ate pizza, well, they went to the hospital in the hospital in Bataisk, ”Vladimir Yulianovich is indignant.

He says that in the decision to initiate a criminal case issued by Colonel Barashev A.T., his grandson is accused of committing crimes using funds intended for riots, but hardly 300 rubles, keys and a poster of burners can be considered such. He is preparing a petition that, according to the 363rd order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with a threat of riots, the headquarters is created and other security measures are being taken, but no one took any such measures in the city.

Despite the habit of trusting the authorities brought up in the army, he begins to understand that it will not be easy to save his grandson.

“Here Shashmin admits that he received information about the action from his friend Kalinin, and he threw him links to various riots, including in Kyiv. As a result, Shashmin is under house arrest, and Kalinin is taking place in the case as a witness. Now they are trying to prove that [talking about the riots] were at personal meetings, and given how they knocked out the testimony from the grandson and Mordasov, I will not be surprised that they will select, for example, those who were smeared in drugs or had other problems with the law for the reservation of Sidorov and Mordasov, ”the lieutenant colonel worries.

Grandfather's struggle

When it turned out that the grandson was “sewing” 212 of the Criminal Code, Vladimir Yulianovich came from the sanatorium near Moscow to Rostov.

“I said who I am, and explained that I was taught to fight for every person who had not yet committed a crime, and not push him into prison with his feet. I’m turning eggs to them only that way, ”Vladimir Yulianovich is brave.

- After all, you probably have ties through the Afghans.

- I tried to [use them], but useless. As soon as they hear about extremism, then everything, ”the grandfather replies. He is sure that after the initiation of a criminal case, a report of certain structures was held to Moscow on "the identification and elimination of an extremist cell, the detention of the organizers and successful implementation by initiating a criminal case." Now there is no way back to fighters with “children's extremism”.

So far, the lieutenant colonel “turn the eggs” is not too effective. In Moscow in mid -August, Vladimir Yulianovich visited the reception of the Investigative Committee, Prosecutor General and the FSB and gave applications for torture applied to the grandson and his partner in order to receive a recognition that they did not commit.

In addition to copies of documents, he handed the bosses a letter in which he said that the “echniks”, demanding from his grandson, called themselves “Estapo”.

“I draw your attention to the fact that the employees of the Central House of Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Rostov Region openly draw an analogy that the name“ Estapo ”corresponds to the forms and methods of the work they use in practical activities. The forms described by the victims and methods of this work do not require analogy with the work of the Gestapo of fascist Germany, they correspond to them, ”wrote Vladimir Yulianovich.

In the Moscow reception of the president, the lieutenant colonel “came across a normal person”, who called the head of the department for receiving appeals of citizens of the Investigative Committee. At the end of July, he arranged a conversation to the lieutenant colonel with the head of the Rostov SK.

“I told him that since November I have been trying to meet with him or at least get an answer signed by him to my complaints. As a result, he accepted me, I showed him the documents, said that his employees did not draw up a single document without violating the Code of Criminal Procedure. He listened silently, ”says Vladimir Yulianovich.

He talked with the prosecutor of the Rostov region. He promised to figure it out, but then Vladimir Yulianovich found out that the prosecutor himself wrote: “To initiate the case” on the report, which served as the basis for initiating a criminal case.

“The prosecutor of the region, without delving into circumstances and details, does this on the basis of a paper written by an opera who wanted to fuck new epaulets and a bonus!” - the grandfather is indignant.

The head of the department in the Investigative Committee Vladimir Yulianovich said goodbye: “I have two wars behind me. Do not achieve the third - conduct an investigation in accordance with the law, because the available materials oblige the investigation to terminate the criminal case. ” So far there is no effect from his statement - the head of the Rostov SK still answered.

The future dissident

Vladimir Yulianovich is confident that investigators hoped to receive confessions and “go to court for a month in a month” (there were many cases in “artillery” in Russia, and for some involved the criminal prosecution ended in a real term).

“It didn't work out. The story has been going on for 9 months, and during this time the investigator was two times. He just sits in the cell, and each time the extension they say that, given the special danger of a “perfect” act - not planned! - He can hide, destroy unrelated documents and influence witnesses. In the meantime, he cannot communicate freely with his relatives, he cannot benefit the motherland, ”his grandfather is indignant.

But his grandson does not give up - in July, Jan, right in the courtroom, announced a hunger strike and said: “This absurdity, arranged by the Investigative Committee and CPE employees who broke our peaceful protest, continues. For eight months since the connivance of the court and prosecutor's office, we have been accused of attempted riots. I am simply surprised, you know, by the actions of the justice organs, who not only do not want to hear our arguments, but also try to imagine that they seem to be in custody legally. ”

“You are a military man, then, for sure, a patriot.” Have your attitude to the system have not changed? - I ask Vladimir Yulianovich.

- It has not changed to the homeland, but to the system for a long time. It is served by people who openly use torture in their activities, which was inherent in the methods of Gestapo, and the leadership and regulatory authorities also cover them. Создавая дутые, сфальсифицированные дела, сотрудники Центра «Э» и Следственного комитета, а не Мордасов и Сидоров, — настоящая пятая колонна. Если и мимо этих фактов пройдут руководители органов безопасности, то у меня останется один путь: до последней капли крови истреблять эту сволочь.

— Думаете, ваш внук теперь захочет служить?

— Мой внук, если выйдет сейчас, пойдет служить, а если ему придется сидеть, то из него получится, не скажу, диссидент, но лицо, которое будет всячески бороться с несправедливостью. Definitely. И я не буду ему мешать. А стержень, присущий нормальному гражданину России, в нем был, есть и будет.

23 августа в Ростовском областном суде будет очередное заседание суда, где Владимир Юлианович снова попытается добиться того, чтобы внука отпустили хотя бы под домашний арест. Мы заканчиваем разговор, выходим из кафе и идем в сторону метро. Около магазина «Армия России» подполковник запаса останавливается и объясняет: «Зайду в «Военторг», надо младшему внуку купить одежду».

— Не теряете надежды хоть одного внука в армию отправить?

Что касается Мальцева, то я всегда удивлялся, почему ему так долго было разрешено говорить про революцию, втягивать молодежь этим словом. Не знаю, искренне он верил в нее или его кто-то вел, но чекисты наверняка думали так выявить, как им кажется, «революционеров». Я уверен, что потенциальных террористов среди них было мало. Дела и «Сети», и «Нового величия» откровенно провокационные, и здесь такая же история, только еще более грязная. У меня по движению Мальцева уже накопилось на столе порядка десятка случаев, будем стараться помочь.
