Paul Manafort, the former head of the election headquarters of Donald Trump and a consultant to Ukrainian politicians and chollercomers, may turn out to be the only punished participant in the creation of the authoritarian regime Viktor Yanukovych. Yanukovych himself, along with a number of accomplices, is under the protection of his Russian master Vladimir Putin, and his lawyers are trying to turn the absentee process over the former president into a circus performance.

Other regime architects - from the creator of Yanukovych himself Rinat Akhmetov to the former head of the presidential administration Sergei Levochkin - continue to actively participate in Ukrainian political life and are preparing for revenge in 2019.

Again, the weakness of the Ukrainian state and the moral illegibility of Ukrainian society, which led to the catastrophe of authoritarianism and the military defeat of 2014, become obvious.

The future winner does not need to invent anything - he will win according to the rules that Manafort introduced into Ukrainian politics. The Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuri Lutsenko is already calling the main drawback of the current president Petro Poroshenko, the lack of proper communication with citizens. The future winner of the presidential election in Ukraine will have to do just that - the establishment of communication. Or - quoting the victorious election slogan of Viktor Yanukovych - "feel the skin", hear everyone. And to promise to everyone for something that will never come true, but it will sound pleasant and encouraging.

Manafort will be condemned according to the classical articles of the American Criminal Code, but if there were a special liability code for crimes committed during the election campaign, it could well be judged for the corruption of minor voters. Because the post -Soviet societies are not accustomed to a rational choice, nor to further responsibility for their choice - it is no coincidence that the inhabitants of the former USSR are constantly called to vote with their hearts, that is, in no case do not include brains.

Of course, Ukrainian voters, who replaced five presidents and preparing to elect the sixth during independence, are favorably different from the Russian society that has become stuck in Putin. Nevertheless, it is often the impression that Ukrainians are ready to vote for the following only in order to annoy the previous one. This is where the talent of Manafort is needed, capable of blinding a bullet from the improvised material, allowing the voter to forget that he gives power to an even greater passage than his predecessor. When in 2010, most Ukrainians voted for the “strong business executive” by Yanukovych, who looked in 2004 with a strong monster and in fact that they did not manure, did not Manafort helped create the image of a “strong business executive”? Is it not Manafort, according to Yanukovych's associates themselves, did not help him "ennoble", I apologize for the expression.
