1943 Liberation of Kharkov

75 years ago, on August 23, 1943, Kharkov was finally liberated from the Germans by the troops of the Steppe Front. Thus, the Battle of Kursk ended with the victory of the Red Army, which lasted from July 5 and became the bloodiest battle on the Eastern Front. The losses of the Red Army killed and wounded in July and August 1943 were the largest in the entire war.
