According to the publication, on August 19, an activist scattered broken glass on the highway and stood next to a poster: “We at Rassvet understand everything, you are just feeding your children!” Thus, Yuzhakov tried to stop BelAZs (mining dump trucks with a wheel size of one and a half meters) transporting coal. That day, the police detained the activist, drew up a report against him and sent him home.
The next day, Yuzhakov doused himself with gasoline near the checkpoint of the Energougol company and locked himself in his car. This is how an activist protested against the work of a coal mining company.
Police officers and the Ministry of Emergency Situations broke the windows of the car, doused it with water and dragged it out into the street. After that, they write “Siberia. Realities,” the activist was taken to psychiatric hospital No. 12. Neighbors told the publication that Yuzhakov has not been home since then.
