The Pushkinsky District Court of St. Petersburg sentenced to three years of probation the chairman of the parent committee of school No. 650, Anastasia Boykova, who collected money for the graduation and did not organize it, according to the telegram channel of the city’s joint press service.
Boykova was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud by deception) and Part 2 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy, as well as causing significant damage).
The court found that on January 27, the defendant convinced school officials that she would be able to organize a prom and buy yearbooks, “with no intention of fulfilling her obligations.” From February to March, the defendant received almost 157 thousand rubles.
“The graduates were left without albums, the graduation party was not organized,” the press service summarizes.
Boykova admitted guilt and repented of her actions. The money was returned to the school in July.
