The leadership of the Southern Federal University (UFU), created on the basis of the Rostov State University, sent an appeal to Google with a request to remove the serial killer Andrei Chikatilo from the list of outstanding graduates of this university, which is shown on the main page in the search results.

“We drew the attention of Google employees that Chikatilo is a dangerous criminal and maniac and is not, as they say, an outstanding graduate,” the university’s press service told TASS.
According to the representatives of the UFU, he was previously informed that we were talking about the not-so-correct translation of the phrase “Notable Alumni” (“something famous graduates”), which in the Russian-language version turned into “outstanding graduates”.
