
The new, 29th season of the Moscow Musical Theater "Helicon-Opera" will open on August 30 by the premiere of the opera of the Rimsky-Korsakov "Golden Cockerel". Director-Dmitry Bertman, musical director-Vladimir Fedoseev.
On September 23, Helikon-Opera will present in the Zaryadye concert hall the prime minister of Rachmaninov’s opera Aleko, in October-November, as part of the festival of music theaters “See the Music” on the stage of the Stravinsky hall, the performances of theaters from Chelyabinsk, Volgograd and St. Petersburg will be shown, and Helicon-Opera will present its performance on October 26 "Carmen", dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Bizet.
Also among the prime minister of the new season “Magic Flute” by Mozart (November 14), in the production of Ilya Ilyin, Offenbach’s operetta “Blue Beard” in the production of the winner of the third international competition of young opera directors of Ruslan Bitzoev (May 2019) and the Handel Opendo Opera (March 2019). Isaacan, musical director-Andrew Lawrens-King (Great Britain), the artist-Hartmouth Sorghofer (Austria). Gabriel Prokofiev will take part in the project. In July 2019, Dmitry Bertman will produce the project “Mr. Georg Ser” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the singer.
Among the special projects of the 29th season, the Concert program “Opera Ball in Tsaritsyno” (August 31) and the international competition of the Tenors of the Elena Obraztsova Foundation “Jose Carreras Grand Prix” (September 10–15), the performance “Seville Barber” J. Rossini Festival Arena di Verona (November), the projects #JAZZ Cafe and the Cafe and the Cafe Continuing #Prodigy.kids .
In May 2019, the IV International Competition of young opera directors Nano-Opera will be held at Helikon-Ooper, and at the end of the season the theater will host the performances of the International Theater Festival A.P. Chekhov.
