The Ministry of Justice finally refused to register the Russia of the Future party of Alexei Navalny

The Ministry of Justice sent an official refusal to register the Russia of the Future party to the Anti-Corruption Foundation. The document, dated August 23, was published on his website by Alexei Navalny.

The department notes that the party, after suspending registration in July, attempted to resume the procedure. In the documents provided for this, the Ministry of Justice found the following violations: the party sent a list of changes instead of the full text of the new charter, minutes of conferences on the nomination of delegates to the party congress were not presented, the number of copies of minutes of meetings of regional branches does not coincide with the number of created branches.

Now Russia of the Future has the opportunity to appeal the refusal to register in court.

The suspension of the party's registration in July was also based on the Ministry of Justice's complaints about the list of submitted documents. Then Navalny promised to resume registration.

“We will continue to require registration. As for specific actions, this decision will require a separate discussion from us,” Navalny’s press secretary Kira Yarmysh told Mediazona.

Navalny has been trying to register a party since 2012. At first he wanted to call it “People’s Alliance”, then the Progress Party, but then “Civic Position” took this name, which made it impossible for Navalny to register the same party.
