Eco-activists detained near the Aleksinsky Quarry landfill were released to Klin

In Klin, environmental activists Alexander Bakhmetyev, Andrey Vasilevsky and Artem Davydovich, who were detained near the Aleksinsky Quarry landfill, were released. This was reported to OVD-Info by local activist Olga Belyakova.

She said that today the cases of the detainees were to be considered by the Klin City Court. Later it became known that the judge postponed the hearings to August 28 and 29, after which the men were released.

Alexander Bakhmetiev, Andrey Vasilevsky and Artem Davydovich were detained on August 25, when local residents opposed to the Aleksinsky Quarry landfill tried to block the road to the landfill.

Protocols were drawn up against the activists under part 6.1 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event, resulting in interference with transport) and also under article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (disobedience to the lawful demands of a policeman) for one Bakhmetyev. A copy of the protocol drawn up against Vasilevsky is at the disposal of OVD-Info.

The detainees were left at the police station until the trial. On August 26, defender Igor Mochalov tried to get to them, but the police refused to let him in.
