In Kaliningrad, the court extended the arrest of the accused in the BARS case

On August 23, the Kaliningrad Regional Court extended for three months the arrest of Alexander Orshulevich, Igor Ivanov and Nikolai Mamaev, defendants in the case of the Baltic Vanguard of Russian Resistance. This was reported to OVD-Info by Orshulevich's wife Wanda.

Mamaev and Ivanov are accused of participating in an extremist community (part 2 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code), Orshulevich of creating it (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code). They have been in custody since May 27, 2017.

According to investigators, the defendants were members of an extremist community and intended to join the Kaliningrad region to the European Union by force.

Orshulevich stated that during the search, a plastic bag was put on his head and violence was used.

Nikolai Sentsov was arrested in September 2017, he suffered a stroke in the pre-trial detention center . His relatives claim that he had nothing to do with the BARS organization.
