
This is the fourth foreign expedition of URFU scientists for meteorites after the Antarctic (land of the Queen of Mod), Iranian (Desert Deste-Lut) and Chilean (Obstakama desert). On the territory of the former USSR and Russia, a meteorite expedition has been operating since 1986, the press service of the university reports .
In addition to employees of the Physics and Technology Institute of URFU, scientists of the Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics of the Academy of Sciences of Mongolia take part in the expedition.
