The Tverskoy Court of Moscow arrested Alexei Navalny for 30 days under Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the rules for holding an action). We are talking about the rallies "Strike of voters", which took place at the end of January. On September 9, the single day of the gubernatorial elections, the oppositionist announced protests against raising the retirement age.

Navalny was detained on Saturday at the entrance to his house in Moscow, the oppositionist spent the weekend in the police.
In early August, Navalny announced an all-Russian protest action against the pension reform, which will take place on a single voting day - September 9th. In Moscow, the oppositionist applied for a rally in the city center, but the capital's mayor's office rejected it , citing "the holding of many events dedicated to the preparation of the celebration of the city's day."
The Moscow authorities did not offer an alternative platform - as Vladimir Chernikov, head of the Moscow Department of Regional Security, explained, "organizers and supporters have repeatedly stated on social networks that campaigning will be carried out during the event," and campaigning on election day is prohibited.
The “Voters' Strike” actions took place at the end of January (details about them can be found here ). According to Navalny, the police explained that they “couldn’t find him” for six months.
