What to expect from Cyberpunk 2077 - a brutal game of future and technology from the authors of the Witcher

On August 27, the Polish studio CD Projekt Red introduced the Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay - one of the most anticipated games of the coming years. Medusa watched this (almost hourly!) Roller and chose the most interesting of what was shown to us.

Unlike the “Witcher”, where CD Projekt used a ready -made character with her character and biography, the player himself chooses the floor, appearance and background for the protagonist. All these elements affect the attitude towards him (or her) from others - some bandits will be treated not as cruelly as a man with a woman.

For the same reason, the authors do not go into details and call V simply a “cyberpunk”. The main character survives on the streets of the futuristic city of Knight City and is trying to rise in the city hierarchy. Often the player will have to cooperate with criminal groups, engage in illegal business and conduct business with megacorporations like Militech in private military sector.

Technology is the main value in the world of Cyberpunk. But because of them, some lose their humanity

People no longer represent life without implants and technical improvements: in the slums there are boxing fights of robots and ordinary fighters; On the streets of passers -by is haunted by individual contextual advertising; The police fences the crime sites with holographic yellow ribbons and recreates events using the full -sized projections of the participants in the incident. The information is transmitted using flash drives that insert into the heads - the eyes of the interlocutors are blue, and the gaze becomes glazed.

Most illegal transactions in the game are also associated with technologies, often prohibited and very dangerous. A huge number of gangs act in Knight City, many of them are obsessed with body modifications. For example, members of the Maelstrom group remove half of the face to install terrible electronic eyes.

The city is so flooded with technology frips that even doctors of the flying ambulance are armed in it: they have to protect themselves and their expensive equipment.

The game has a lot of very (very!) Naturalistic details - cruel, but not only

In Cyberpunk, people can shoot limbs, enemies shout in Russian “die, ***** (pancake)” (cyber Slavyans!), And the main character constantly uses drugs. With their help, he gets advantages in battle - for example, begins to move faster or more precisely to shoot. When V installs an improved mechanical eye, the camera switches to the appearance of an electronic device - players show how it is placed in the eye socket of their character. The presentation conducted by CD Projekt has a moment in which V and her partner penetrate the Maelstrom shelter, load the virus into the gang computers and burn the head of one of the bandits connected to them.

In the scenes with the nudity of CD Projekt, it promises to show everything at all, without any censorship. This also allows us to understand how strange the complexes are in this world - and how they try to correct their “shortcomings” with the help of improvements.

In addition, Cyberpunk will have the opportunity to start a same -sex relationship - as the authors of the game explain so that everything is, as in reality.

The game is not ready yet and is unknown when it comes out. But what has already been talked about

• In the city you can move by cars and motorcycles. True, it is impossible to travel and shoot at the same time.
• The city in Cyberpunk 2077 is multi -tier and alive. The inhabitants of Knight City go on elevators, eat, go on business and from time to time pester passers-by (including V) with a proposal to buy something from them.
• The walls can be broken and shot through. So enemies will be able to kill, even if they hid in the next room.
• Clothing affects the status of a hero. The better dressed (or dressed) V, the more places the hero will be able to get into more places.
• There are no familiar classes in Cyberpunk. At the beginning of the game, you need to decide on your strengths and weaknesses, but subsequently the skills can be reconfigured and pumped out skills from different "branches of development" - shooting or hacking of devices.
• Enemies can catch the protagonist, hack the chip installed in his body and connect to the lie detector.
• What decisions V makes during each task, even a side effect, affects the main plot and the whole world of the game.
• V will be able to modify his body in different ways, and this will give additional opportunities. Some allow you to jump above, others are better to dodge, others - to fight with two blades built into the hands of the hero.
• There is a “smart weapon” in the game: bullets released from it themselves pursue goals. V will be able to kill enemies hiding behind the shelter - with the help of ricoting bullets. Weapons can also be modified.
• The firing mechanics in the game for its authors helps to create a professional player in Counter-Strike.
