In the last article, I wrote that, despite the growth of inequality in income, the inequality in the consumption of real benefits in developed countries is rather reduced. The inequality of income is converted into symbolic consumption and unequal rights in decision -making. This article is a view of the same processes on the other hand and is devoted to the inequality of the contribution to the creation of public wealth.
A significant part of the history of mankind in consumption was less than the inequality of the contribution to the creation of goods. Several the strongest and most skillful hunters of the tribe mined most of the food, distributing it to children, old people and less successful hunters. They themselves got the best piece, but in proportion it was less than their share as a result of hunting.
One of the most ancient systems of social interaction is the culture of gifts. The position of a person in society was largely determined by how much he gives others. More successful hunters gave more and enjoyed great respect. In those days, the power in the tribe, as a rule, also belonged to the very strong hunters and this was perceived by the majority as a fair and natural state.
