A court in Samara approved the arrest of a pensioner accused of creating an extremist community

The Samara Regional Court recognized as lawful the arrest of a pensioner, Lyubvi Kuzayeva, who is accused of several extremist articles. This was reported to OVD-Info by the Agora International Human Rights Group with reference to lawyer Timur Miftakhutdinov, who represents the interests of Kuzaeva.

The court upheld the decision of the Samara District Court to arrest Kuzaeva until September 27.

Lyubov Kuzaeva is charged under five articles of the criminal code and ten episodes: organizing an extremist community (part 1 of article 282.1 of the Criminal Code), incitement of hatred by an organized group (paragraph “c” of part 2 of article 282 of the Criminal Code, four episodes), rehabilitation of Nazism ( Part 1 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code, two episodes), public calls for separatism (Part 1 of Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code) and for carrying out extremist activities using the Internet (Part 2 of Article 280 of the Criminal Code).

According to the investigation, Kuzaeva carried out dangerous activities, including posting extremist materials on VKontakte, as well as instructing members of the extremist community “Community of the Indigenous Russian People of the Samara Region” created by the pensioner to do the same.

The FSB letter to the Investigative Committee says that Kuzaeva wanted to “prepare and organize unauthorized mass actions in order to destabilize the situation on the eve of the elections to the Duma of the city of o. Togliatti and for the post of Governor of the Samara Region. Lawyer Timur Miftakhutdinov noted that Kuzayeva was a member of the election commission in Tolyatti with the right to vote and has gratitude from the head of the Central Election Commission.
