Udaltsov softened the hunger strike, starting to drink water

The coordinator of the Left Front Sergei Udaltsov, from the evening on August 14, continued a dry hunger strike in protest against 30-day arrest on the fabricated administrative protocol, on Tuesday softened the regime, starting to drink water. This was reported by RIA "Novosti" with reference to the wife of politician Anastasia Udaltsov.

She explained the decision of her husband by "the poor well -being and unsatisfactory indicators with which he was discharged on Monday from the hospital."

The arrested still refuses food.

Udaltsov is contained in special reception No. 2 of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow in Mnevniki. He was arrested under Part 8 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (repeated violation of the procedure for public events). The protocol for politics was drawn up for the fact that on July 28, at the coordinated rally of left -wing forces against pension reform, he burned portraits of "persons similar to the heads of the state", namely the speakers of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin and Valentina Matvienko and the chairman of the Accounts Chamber Alexei Kudrin.

Udaltsov himself in court explained the fabrication of the protocol by the desire of the authorities to prevent him from preparing new actions against pension reform, in particular the procession and rally on September 2 . Another motive for the persecution, the politician called the desire of officials to exclude him from the campaign for the election of the mayor of Moscow - in it he acts as an authorized person of the Communist Party of the Communist Party Vadim Kumin.

During the hunger strike, Udaltsov was hospitalized three times , but every time after the course of treatment, they returned to the special receiver.
