The organizer of a rally against pension reform was detained in Armavir

In Armavir, the organizer of the action against the pension reform, Yevgeny Volkov, was detained allegedly for swearing in front of police officers. This was reported to OVD-Info by his acquaintance, the administrator of the public "Overheard Armavir" Sergey.

The activist himself wrote on VKontakte: “They detained me, they lie that I swore in front of the police.” Volkov managed to inform Sergei that he had been taken to the traffic police department and might be left overnight. Then communication with him was interrupted.

UPD On September 7 , Volkov told OVD-Info that he was summoned to the traffic police department under the pretext that they had lost his testimony about the accident. When he arrived at the hotel, there were two fictitious witnesses, while the real witness to the accident was asked to leave.

A man in uniform asked Volkov who was rowdy and rowdy in the department, to which Volkov replied that he had just arrived. The man in uniform said the outfit was on its way. When Volkov began to fill out documents about the accident, the traffic police told him that they had allegedly testified against him that he was cursing. A protocol on petty hooliganism (20.1 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) was drawn up against Volkov and sent to the police department, and then for examination.

Despite the fact that Volkov said that he was a member of the election commission with a decisive vote and that he could not be deprived of liberty without the decision of the prosecutor, he was left at the police station overnight. On the morning of September 7, the Armavir City Court adjourned the case in order to obtain the prosecutor's decision. Volkov was handed a summons demanding to appear for questioning as a witness in the theft case.

According to Volkov, subpoenas demanding to appear for interrogation were also handed over to volunteers taking part in the preparation of the rally.
