In the Primorsky Territory, residents of several flooded villages cannot receive help from local authorities. During the flood, due to prolonged heavy rains, many in the water were houses, basements and gardens. People turned to officials with a request to pump out water and pay compensation. However, according to them, the administration was ignored by their requirements, referring to the fact that the emergency regime was not introduced in their area.
“This year we were flooded, we turned to the administration, and they told us:“ Sell at home and go. In our area, an emergency is not announced, and there will be no compensation, ”a resident of Novodevitsa, a resident of the village of Novodevitsa told Vl.ru.
Residents of other villages say that the authorities warned them about the flood and advised them to harvest. But in most cases it was impossible to do this, since it has not yet matured. Many have destroyed not only vegetables, but also haystacks and even reserves in cellars. Despite this, people continue to refuse help, adding that "you can’t get away from the water."
After the publication in local media, the residents of the flooded villages in the press service of the Primorsky Territory administration said that officials were preparing a decision to introduce regional emergencies in several regions of the region. This will allow the victims to pay compensation from the funds of the regional budget.
