Amur Region: Residents of the capital held a rally against pension reform

The rally against raising the retirement age was held yesterday in Blagoveshchensk. Residents of the Amur Region with posters gathered at the youth house.

Participants in the protest said that the amendments to pension reform proposed by the Russian President Vladimir Putin are meaningless. "What is the point of increasing the age of retirement, if we do not even live before it? The average age of men in the Amur Region is 62 years old, and we will only go to a well -deserved rest under the new law at 65," one of the protesters said.

At the same time, the rally participants said that they were sure that protests are able to stop the plans of the Russian government to increase the age of retirement. “When a wave of disturbances swing throughout the country, it may then reach him that his reform will not bring to good,” the 2x2.su portal quotes the rally to Natalia.

Residents of the Amur region intend to gather for the next rally against pension reform after September 24 - on this day, another hearing about the reform will be held in the State Duma of Russia.

In Russian cities, protests are regularly held against increasing the age of retirement. On August 26, residents of another city of the region-Komsomolsk-on-Amur- conducted a march against pension reform, organizing a "shameful regiment". Two days earlier in Krasnoyarsk, six rallies were immediately against pension reform in different areas of the city. According to the organizers, at least 200 people came to the rally in each district. In mid -August, the movement "Protest Kuzbass" held a rally against raising the retirement age in Novokuznetsk. The action was attended by 100-150 people, they held posters: “Live in retirement, not live”, “Enough to pretend that this is your money”, “Vova, go out on the debate”, “We will force power to serve the law” and others.

On July 19, the government law providing for raising the retirement age in Russia was the first reading in the State Duma. The bill was supported only by United Russia, which has a parliamentary majority. 327 deputies voted for the adoption of the document, against 102. The State Duma chairman Vyacheslav Volodin said that the term of discussion of the bill and submission of amendments to it was extended until September 24.

The Russian government in June proposed to raise the retirement age of up to 65 years for men and 63 years for women. On August 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin proposed to mitigate the reform by reducing the age of retirement for women under 60 years.
