A crowdfunding platform will reimburse a homeless person $400,000. They were wasted by the initiators of the fundraising campaign

Crowdfunding platform GoFundMe will refund homeless Johnny Bobbit in full the amount that donors raised for him and which he still has not received due to the actions of campaign founder Kate McClure.

• McClure started a fundraising campaign for Bobbitt after he spent his last money on gasoline for her stalled car in November 2017. In total, more than 400 thousand dollars were collected, however, at the end of August, Bobbitt said that McClure gave him only 75 thousand of this amount.
• McClure and her boyfriend Mark D'Amico said that they would give the remaining money to Bobbit later - as soon as he got rid of drug addiction. The homeless man himself stated that the couple had actually already spent half of the funds raised on themselves.
• The police launched an investigation into McClure and D'Amico, but they have not yet been formally charged.
