The youngest of the Khachaturian sisters, who killed their father, is declared insane

Experts from the Serbsky Center for Psychiatry and Narcology concluded that 17-year-old Maria Khachaturyan is insane. At the moment when, together with her two older sisters, she killed Father Mikhail Khachaturian, she could not be aware of her actions, told Pavel Pyatnitsky, a member of the Public Monitoring Commission, TASS. An official conclusion on the examination has not yet been received.

Now Maria Khachaturyan is being held in the hospital of the Butyrskaya prison. Now the court must decide where exactly the girl will be treated.

• The body of Mikhail Khachaturyan with multiple stab wounds was found on July 27 in a house on Altufevskoe Highway. Three Khachaturian sisters are accused of murder by prior conspiracy: 17-year-old Maria, 18-year-old Angelina and 19-year-old Krestina.
• The defense side claims that the father subjected his daughters to violence, including sexual.
• According to MK, Maria Khachaturian complained that the ghost of her father comes to her and threatens her.
