Elections were held in 80 regions. United Russia won almost everywhere, although there are exceptions. The candidate from the "party of power" lost the mayoral elections in Yakutsk; in the parliaments of the Ulyanovsk and Irkutsk regions and Khakassia, there will probably be more communists than United Russia members (and in Ulyanovsk, almost twice as many !). Some incumbent governors may not be elected in the first round: in Primorye, Andrei Tarasenko is just short of 50% (46%), and in Vladimir Region, Svetlana Orlova is a lot short (39%). In Khabarovsk Krai, Vyacheslav Shport from United Russia and Sergei Furgal from the LDPR received 35% each. And in Khakassia, communist Valentin Konovalov is in the lead, with the incumbent head Viktor Zimin lagging far behind. But Andrei Vorobyov wins in the Moscow region with 61%, and Sergei Sobyanin in Moscow with 70% (and according to exit polls he will get all 74%). In Kemerovo, Sergei Tsivilev has 83%. United Russia is generally satisfied , the Communist Party of the Russian Federation is very satisfied , Zhirinovsky demands the resignation of the head of the Central Election Commission Ella Pamfilova.
All results data are preliminary, updated around midnight Moscow time. More information about the election results can be found here .
