RBC: The customer of the murder of the Circassian social activist Zhukov was called Senator Arashukov

Rasul Adzhiev, the defendant of the case of the murder of the leader of the Circassian youth movement "Adyge-Hase" Aslan Zhukov, called the customer of the crime of a member of the Federation Council from Karachay-Cherkessia Rauf Arashukov. This was reported by RBC with reference to a copy of the protocol of interrogation of the accused of August 14.

Adzhiev said that Arashukov ordered him a murder through his relative Ruslan Agoev. He handed him the order of the senator at the meeting, which occurred in March 2010. Agoev told Adzhiev that the senator wanted the "physical elimination" of the offender with whom he had a conflict, as a result of which the honor of Arashukov was affected and the environment turned away from him. Agoev called the offender the senator of the owner of the car wash in Cherkessk and described his appearance. A few days later, Adzhiev shot the right person in his car - later he found out that Zhukov was his victim. Agoev paid Adzhiev a million rubles in cash.

In 2012 and 2017, the testimony against Arashukov gave two defendants in the murder of Fral Shebzukhov, adviser to President Karachay-Cherkessia Boris Ebzeev. The protocols of their interrogations say that the senator allocated half a million rubles to “intimidate and beat” Shebzukhov, and another million to the murder of Zhukov. RBC calls the name of one of the two defendants who testified against Arashukov - this is the organizer of the attack on Zhukov Rustam Kopsergenov.

Since the beginning of September, the relatives of Zhukov and Shebzukhov have been picked by the Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Karachay-Cherkessia, demanding to initiate a criminal case against Arashukov. In a letter to the director of the FSB, Alexander Bortnikov, the head of the Investigative Committee of Alexander Bastrykin, the prosecutor general Yuri Chaika and the speaker of the Soviet Valentina Matvienko, they indicate that local investigators "do not just inactive, but try to distort the course and results of the investigation and are refused by Arashukov’s criminal prosecution." Relatives of Zhukov and Shebzukhov combine cases of their murder in one production and transfer investigation to the central apparatus of the TFR.

The senator’s apparatus said that they were “extremely surprised” with the requirements of relatives of the dead and “no evidence” of Arashukov’s involvement in crimes. According to the representative of the apparatus, some “certain forces of provocateurs” in Karachay-Circassia are pushing the senator of the customer murders of relatives.

In accordance with Article 447 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, only the head of the Council of the Federation Council can begin the criminal prosecution of a member of the Federation Council, Alexander Bastrykin, with the consent of the speaker of the upper house Valentina Matvienko, received on the basis of the submission of the prosecutor general Yuri Chaika.

Adzhiev was detained on suspicion of the murder of Zhukov less than a year after the crime. In 2012, the City Court of Cherkessk justified him. However, in August of this year, he was again detained in the same renewed case - in the Karachay -Cherkess Directorate of the Investigative Committee, they stated that the suspect committed a confession.

Shebzukhov was beaten by a baseball bat and shot in Cherkessk on May 12, 2010. In 2013, the murder participants Magomet Dzhubuev, Alik Tatarkulov and Timur Tulparov, as well as Nazim Kusheterov, who led their actions, received a period of 14 to 19 years in the colony. Kopsergenov was detained only in December 2017, he has not yet been sentenced.
