The head coach of the Czech Football team Karel Yarolim was resigned in connection with the unsatisfactory results of the team. According to the press service of the football association of the Czech Republic (FACR), the name of the new mentor will be announced later.
“The situation is insolvent and should be resolved immediately,” TASS quoted the head of FACR Martin Malik. “I am glad that Karel and I managed to agree not to wait, because the team needed a new impulse right now.”
Over the past week, the wards of Yarolim lost in the League of Nations to the Ukrainian team (1: 2), and then crushedly lost in a friendly meeting of the Russian national team (1: 5). After the second failure, the Czech team coach admitted that it became more painful than the first.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to head the team,” said Yarolim. “Unfortunately, we were not able to live up to the expectations that were assigned to us. After the last match against the Russian team, I came to the conclusion that the team needed a new challenge.”
Yarolim headed the Czech team since 2016. Under his leadership, the team failed to break into the final part of the 2018 World Cup, which was held in Russia.
