Michel Barnier, the chief negotiator on the European Union, stated that the agreement on the conditions of Britain’s exit from the EU can be reached in the next six to eight weeks - by the beginning of November. The announcement of the optimistic prospects for concluding a transaction last Monday has already led to an increase in the funnel course by 0.8% in relation to the dollar.
The statement of Barnier, who called the “realistic” conclusion of the transaction on the exit of Britain from the European Union, is commented on by almost all British newspapers, including The Guardian , The Times , Evenging Standard , The Independent , The Sun.
At the conference, held on the eve of the northwest of Slovenia, Barnier said that the Brexit transaction is just around the corner and about 80% of the Britain's withdrawal agreement from the EU has already been agreed. Although the chief negotiator under the terms of the transaction quite optimistically appreciated its prospects, he admitted that the problems with the discussion of its individual points remain. At the same time, he refused to comment on disagreements in the conservative party in connection with Brexit.
The Russian Air Force Service quotes the publication of Inews , the article of which states that the statement of Barnier is part of the operation "Therapy Teresa". According to sources, the leaders of European countries are ready to go to the conditions proposed by Britain Prime Minister Teresa May, out of fear that at the conference of the conservative party in October, the former head of the British Foreign Ministry Boris Johnson can achieve her displacement from the party leader and take the premiere post in the future.
According to the newspaper, the leaders of the EU countries realize that the most difficult moment for the British prime minister can occur on October 2, when Johnson reads a report in which he plans to criticize the Brexit conditions proposed by May.
According to the source in Brussels, European officials, understanding what pressure is from Euroskeptics on May in her country, are not going to add problems for her. As the interlocutor of the publication explained, on the one hand, the EU is not going to change the “red line”, on the other, he wants to act as part of the program proposed by May.
The fact that the EU began to implement the operation "Save Teresa" previously stated by an influential British politician from the Labor Party, a former European commissar Peter Mandelson. According to Lord Mandelson, the EU leaders are afraid that the collapse of Brexit negotiations will lead to May's resignation. Brussels believe that Boris Johnson, taking the post of prime minister after May, will plunge Britain, and then all of Europe into chaos, he said.
Boris Johnson compared the May program with a suicide bomb
The other day, Boris Johnson, formulated by the MAI government strategy for the exit from the European Union, abruptly collapsed. In the Sunday newspaper The Mail On Sunday, the words of the politician were given that the May program resembles a suicide bloom. Johnson again criticized proposals for building future relations with the EU, which were agreed on July 6 at a meeting of the British Cabinet in the country's suburban residence.
“We wrapped the British constitution with a suicide bomb and handed the detonator [the chief negotiator of Brussels in the dialogue with London] Michel Barnier. We gave him a master of the way, with the help of which Brussels can break the alliance between Great Britain and Northern Ireland at any moment,” ex -minister TASS quoted the words.
According to Johnson, if an agreement on Brexit is reached in the proposed May form, as well as a general vision to the Prime Minister of future relations with the EU will turn the UK into a "vassal state", which will be forced to accept the rules of the European Union by losing the right to vote.
“We managed to reduce the great British Brexit to two terrifying options: either we are cracking on our union or the whole country is forever obliged to fulfill European laws,” the politician noted.
According to Johnson, London agreed with the Brexit schedule put forward by Brussels and reconciled in order to pay the EU 39 billion pounds ($ 51 billion), not receiving anything in return. The former head of the British Foreign Ministry called such conditions "humiliation" for London. Meanwhile, Johnson's words were condemned in the government, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Sajid Javid and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alan Dankan did not agree with his theses.
Recall that Johnson, who resigned from the post of Foreign Minister in July, stated that he had left this position, realizing that the government did not share his position on Brexit. The politician then sharply stated that the idea of Brexit "dies, strangled by meaningless self -doubt", and the line proposed by May means that Britain "really headed for the status of the colony."
The negotiations of Brussels and London, by agreement of Brexit, remained blocked due to the problem of organizing the border between the EU in the EU and the EU emerging as part of the United Kingdom of Northern Ireland. Both sides expressed concerns in connection with the possibility of a new outbreak of separatist movements in Northern Ireland, if the solution that arranges everyone is not found.
The informal summit of the leaders of the 27 EU countries will take place in Austria next week. At the negotiations, Barnier must receive new instructions from the EU leader to continue negotiations with Britain. Formally, these instructions will be approved at the EU summit in October.
The Brexit summit is scheduled for November 13 - by this moment, all terms of the transaction must be agreed. After that, Teresa May will have to receive approval under the program from the British parliament. According to observers, it will be difficult to do this to the prime minister because of the opposition of opponents of her plan. If the deputies nevertheless accept the output program, it will have to approve the European Parliament.
