The United Press Service of the Courts of St. Petersburg published data on the consideration of cases of those detained on September 9 for protests against raising the retirement age.
In total, the courts considered 255 materials out of 301 received. 70 people were sent to arrest from 1 to 25 days, 11 were sentenced to compulsory labor for a period of 20 to 60 hours. 158 rally participants were fined from 5,000 to 20,000 rubles.
With regard to one person, the case was dismissed due to non-involvement, and the courts returned 15 materials to the police.
The action against raising the retirement age was held on September 9 in many cities of Russia. In St. Petersburg, the police behaved most brutally and detained the largest number of protesters.
