Burberry will start selling clothes via Instagram

Part of the new Burberry collection, prepared by new creative director Riccardo Tisci, will be sold on Instagram. This is stated in a message from the British company.

The collection will also be sold on WeChat and the Burberry flagship store in London. This is the first time the brand has used social media to sell, the report noted. Tisci will present the new Burberry collection on Monday, September 17, at London Fashion Week.

Last week Burberry announced it would no longer destroy unsold products. In July, the company revealed that it had destroyed £28.6 million (more than €32 million) worth of clothes and perfumes over the course of the year. This message drew criticism from environmentalists. In addition, Burberry will refuse to use real fur and plans to withdraw existing fur products from sale.
