Vladimir Radunsky died

In Rome, at the age of 64, the artist, illustrator, designer and writer Vladimir Radunsky died.

Vladimir Radunsky was born in 1954 in the Urals, studied visual arts and architecture in Moscow, left the USSR in 1982, lived in New York and Rome.

The author of illustrations for dozens of books. Among the works of children's literature, decorated with Vladimir Radunsky, books by Daniil Harms, Samuel Marshak, Korney Chukovsky, Edward Lira, Joseph Brodsky, Mark Twain, Mem Fox and Woody Gatrine. The artist also published books of his own composition, collaborated with Chris Rashka, Bill Martin and Mikhail Baryshnikov.

The books of Vladimir Radunsky were translated and published in France, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Russia, South Korea and Japan, received a number of American and European awards, were included in the list of The New York Times .

In 2017, Vladimir Radunsky created the scenery and costumes for the Don Quixote ballet in the Roman opera. The author of the monument to Joseph Brodsky at the San Michela cemetery in Venice.
