12-year term by the Ukrainian journalist Suschenko in the "Spy" case is confirmed

The collegium of the Supreme Court confirmed the sentence for 12 years of maximum regime, issued by Ukrainian journalist Roman Suschenko in the fabricated case of espionage. This was reported by UNIAN.

After the announcement of the appeal definition, the Politsyk said that he would file a complaint with the ECHR.

The journalist was charged with article 276 of the Criminal Code (espionage). The investigation was led by the FSB. There are 10 volumes in the case. The Suschenko process continued in the Moscow City Court since March 27 this year. The trial was led by the collegium chaired by Oleg Muzychenko . The hearings were held closed, since the case was classified. The prosecutor in the debate demanded for the defendant 14 years of strict regime. Politzek himself consistently rejected the accusation. The verdict was sentenced on June 4 .
