In Belgorod, a case was opened due to the death of three newborns in a perinatal center

The Investigative Committee began an investigation after the death of three newborn children in the perinatal center of Hospital No. 2 in Belgorod. This was reported by the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee.

Three families who lost their children in the perinatal center in the summer came to the SU SK for an appointment. Criminal cases have been opened into the death, and investigators will determine the cause of death. The hospital officials will be probed.

Earlier, a resident of Belgorod published a statement on social networks in which he spoke about the death of his newborn child from sepsis and asked for a check at the perinatal center. The man claimed that two more babies died of sepsis on the same day.

The health department of the Belgorod region TASS refused to comment on the situation.

In June, a resident of Bryansk contacted the prosecutor’s office because of the death of his wife in a perinatal center. Doctors refused to admit a woman pregnant with her fourth child to hospital, despite her high temperature. A 30-year-old woman died after giving birth, but her newborn daughter survived.
