A protester against a waste incineration plant was arrested in the Moscow region

In the city of Voskresensk, Moscow Region, on September 14, a court arrested Alexei Kholkin, a protester against a waste incineration plant, for six days. This was reported in the Voszerkalo Voskresensk group on the VKontakte social network.

Kholkin was found guilty of organizing a mass simultaneous stay of citizens in a public place, which caused a violation of public order (Article 20.2.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The activist was summoned to the Novlyansk police department on another issue, where law enforcement officers detained him and took him to the courthouse. It is noted that the meeting ended only around midnight.

On August 30, protesters against the construction of a waste incineration plant came to the head of the administration of the Voskresensky district, Vitaly Chekhov. The activists gave him written appeals with a list of violations of the planned construction and a demand to cancel the illegal regulations. After that, several protesters were detained by the police, and reports on an administrative offense were drawn up against them.
