Participants in the “Demonstration of the Seven” memorial event were fined in Moscow

The Tverskoy District Court of Moscow fined participants in the rally in memory of the "Demonstration of the Seven" human rights activist Sergei Sharov-Delaunay, politician Leonid Gozman and artist Anna Krasovitskaya. Sharov-Delaunay informed OVD-Info about this.

He, like Gozman, was fined 20 thousand rubles, Krasovitskaya - 15 thousand rubles. All three were found guilty of violating the rules for holding a public event (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

• On August 25, participants in the “Demonstration of the Seven” memorial action were detained on Red Square. Krasovitskaya wrote on her Facebook page that she was detained for the poster “Freedom to Sentsov”. In total, about 50 people took part in the meeting dedicated to the memory of the 1968 demonstration.
• The action of Soviet dissidents, known as the "Demonstration of the Seven" took place on August 25, 1968, when eight people, including Krasovitskaya's grandmother Natalya Gorbanevskaya and Sharov-Delaunay's cousin Vadim Delone, unfurled posters with slogans against the introduction of Soviet troops into Czechoslovakia at Lobnoye Mesto. The demonstrators were detained for several minutes and beaten by police and KGB officers. Five participants of the action were sentenced to various terms and links. Natalya Gorbanevskaya and Viktor Fainberg were declared insane and sent to psychiatric hospitals for compulsory treatment. One of the detainees, Tatyana Baeva, was persuaded to tell the police that she was on the square by accident, after which she was released.
