Tomsk: The townspeople said goodbye to TV presenter Andrei Murashov

In Tomsk they said goodbye to the famous TV presenter and journalist Andrei Murashov. He died on September 17 after he spent a week in a coma in the regional clinical hospital. Doctors for a long time could not name the cause of the disease. The final diagnosis was made only after death - the aortic proper aneurysm.

Farewell to Murashov took place in the regional drama theater, he is buried in a cemetery near the village of Berezkino. Hundreds of residents of the city came to a mourning procession. Among them are colleagues of the TV presenter, politicians, rector of Tomsk universities, public figures and viewers. Many went to the microphone and spoke farewell speeches, from official speeches, the journalist's relatives asked to abstain.

Murashov was always interested in the past of Tomsk, filmed the programs about this, conducted his own archive and conducted excursions around the city. The director of the regional archive Anastasia Karavaeva first talked about the fact that during his lifetime the TV presenter started his own archive in her institution. He collected documents, photos and videos of materials about the modern life of the city in order to save them for descendants.

Andrei Murashov was the host of the popular in Tomsk information program "Hour Peak", which has been aired since 1993. He worked in an independent TV-2 television company for more than 20 years. The journalist was the author of special reports, documentaries, prepared headings and projects about the history of the city. He was aired until the disconnection andcomplete closure of the channel by the Russian authorities in 2015.

His last television work was the project "Tomsk. History of the present." In the regional television company, where he worked recently, it was decided to continue the cycle of programs invented by the author, the source said. In 2018, Andrei Murashov celebrated his 50th anniversary.
