The head of the CEC proposed canceling the results of the election of the governor of Primorye

The head of the Central Election Commission of Russia Ella Pamfilova proposed recognizing the elections of the Governor of the Primorsky Territory invalid. She stated this on Wednesday at a CEC meeting, Interfax reports.

According to Pampilova, the analysis of the data that the Central Election Commission has already had, showed that there was a "rude interference in the election campaign using an administrative resource." She noted that in 13 plots in the Soviet district of Vladivostok, the election results were canceled. The CEC explained that "in the case of the possibility of establishing the results of voting in these sites, the result could be changed both towards candidate Tarasenko and in the direction of candidate Ishchenko." The head of the CEC proposed holding new elections to the Governor of the Primorsky Territory in three months.

Member of the CEC Boris Ebzeev questioned the legal capacity of the election commission of the Primorsky Territory. According to him, we are talking about "systemic, well -thought -out violations that led to the result that we observe." Ebzeev suggested that the decision to cancel the results of elections in Primorye could be made by the CEC of Russia.

The candidate for Governors from United Russia Andrei Tarasenko first said that he would not participate in the new elections. He emphasized that he supports the proposal to cancel the election results. “This is one of my main suggestions too. <...> I just said that today both sides are to blame and we must somehow get out of this situation. Because blaming each other is no longer a job,” Tarasenko quotes TASS. In less than an hour, at a rally in his support, Tarasenko said that he would still participate in the third round of the election of the governor of the region. “Let's stop so far that you have to go to the third tour,” the politician said at a rally in Vladivostok. After a rally, during a conversation with reporters, Tarasenko specified that he would wait for the decision of the regional election commission. “I believe that I don’t have to go to the third tour today. No need, purely masculine,” PrimaMedia quotes politics.

The Communist Party candidate Andrei Ishchenko opposed the possible abolition of election results. “This is a complete absurdity. Why do this? We should have at least a minimum of the election, 25% of the plots according to the legislation. No, I don’t agree. We elected the governor,” he said. At the same time, politician D bodied that he was ready to participate in new elections if the party entrusts.

The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said that Tarasenko remains the temporarily acting governor of Primorye. Commenting on the decision of the CEC, Peskov said that "all this is in line with what Putin said."

Earlier, in an interview with the Siberia.m. Reali correspondent, Ishchenko said that his victory in the election was "stolen". According to the politician, he achieves a "clear response from the CEC of Russia" shares.

The second round of elections of the Governor of the Primorsky Territory took place on September 16. Through almost the entire period of the vote count with a gear 5-6 percent, the Candidate of the Communist Party Andrei Ishchenko was the leader. However, on Monday morning, it turned out that, according to preliminary results, Tarasenko won. Ishchenko said that up to 40 thousand votes were “thrown out” in favor of his opponent. Since September 17, spontaneous actions have been held in Vladivostok against falsifications in the elections of the governor of Primorye.

On Wednesday, a special commission of the Central Election Commission arrived in Vladivostok, which checks reports of violations in the elections of the Governor of the Primorsky Territory.

On the eve of the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory and the head of the regional branch of the Communist Party, Artem Samsonov began a hunger strike in disagreement with the victory of Tarasenko in the election. According to Samsonov, he spent the night near the building of the regional administration in his car, he is going to starve until the protocols in the areas in large cities of the region are recognized as falsified.

On September 17, a spontaneous action took place in Vladivostok, the participants of which opposed the results of the second round of the election of the governor of Primorye. The Communist Party candidate Andrei Ishchenko, who was the leader until the very end of the vote count, announced the stuffing of the ballots in favor of his opponent and announced a hunger strike, but later stopped it with the same day.

A rally in Vladivostok gathered more than a thousand people. Its participants expressed their readiness to continue protest. The Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov promised to hold the All -Russian action on September 22.

Residents of Irkutsk supported the protesters in Vladivostok. During the unlimited protest rally, they took to the streets with posters: “Primorye without Putin and his friends” and “We demand honest elections! #Primorye.”
