“We intend to appeal to the qualification collegium of judges of the Sverdlovsk region, raise questions about the excessive punishment for Irina, which was issued on September 12, the reasons why today's meeting was closed, and also why a significant part of our petitions did not even fall into the protocol,” Julia Fedotova, lawyer of the open Russia, told the publication.

The day before, it became known that the European Court of Human Rights requested documents on the state of health of Norman, as well as whether it has access to treatment.

An inconsistent protest against pension reform, organized by the headquarters of the opposition Alexei Navalny, was held in Yekaterinburg on September 9. On this day, similar rallies took place in dozens of cities of Russia. In general, more than a thousand people were detained, in Yekaterinburg, according to the OVD-info, 183 people, including minors, were detained and delivered to the police.

At the hearing, Irina Norman, suffering from epilepsy, asked her to appoint any punishment except arrest. However, the court did not listen to her arguments. After the verdict was announced, her fellow countrymen stood up for the woman. 57 residents of Yekaterinburg signed an open appeal to the Minister of Health of the Sverdlovsk Region Andrei Tsvetkov, the Minister of Social Policy of the region Andrei Zlokazov and the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Sverdlovsk Region Tatyana Merzlyakova demanding to intervene in the situation.

The letter said that the activist suffers from epilepsy, and in Russian insulators, as a rule, there are no necessary drugs, and if the girl has an attack, a death is possible.
