The famous French chef, restaurateur and hotelier Alain Ducasse has launched gastronomic cruises along the Seine. The double-deck motor ship Ducasse sur Seine accommodates 120 people, is equipped only with electric motors, and makes voyages twice a day: guests have the opportunity to have lunch or dinner in a floating gastronomic restaurant with views of the most famous Parisian bridges and embankments.

Cruises start from the Seine embankment at the foot of the Eiffel Tower (the restaurants on which, including the one-star Jules Verne, are also run by the Alain Ducasse group): the ship goes to the center of the French capital, rounds the islands of Cité and Saint Louis and returns back.

On the upper level of Ducasse sur Seine there is a private office for up to 10 people with its own open deck, on the lower level there are two restaurant rooms with panoramic glazing and also the possibility of access to the deck.

Guests of Ducasse sur Seine have a choice of three to five course menus for lunch and dinner, as well as two snack-only menus, served from 4 to 6 p.m. when the ship is docked. All meals are prepared on board, including the chocolate dessert, which Ducasse has produced entirely in its Paris chocolate factory since 2016. The wine list of the floating restaurant represents all the main wine regions of France, including Selection Alain Ducasse champagne, which is produced by the Lanson champagne house upon the order of the chef and taking into account his gastronomic preferences.

Cruises started in the second half of September and will continue all year round; According to Ducasse sur Seine employees, the floating restaurant's occupancy rate already exceeds 80% in the evenings. And so far this is one of the most reliable and affordable ways to dine at Ducasse's in Paris.

For example, after French President Emmanuel Macron invited US President Donald Trump to the Le Jules Verne restaurant, the queue for it became even longer, Ducasse told Vedomosti: “Reservations at Le Jules Verne are accepted two months in advance, and these two months are always selected: when we start taking reservations in the morning for a new day in two months, all the tables are cleared by noon.”
