An employee of the Embassy of Libya in Moscow appealed to Russian law enforcement agencies with a statement about sexual harassment by a senior Libyan diplomat, an audit is being conducted, Interfax reports with reference to the informed source.

"On September 21, the capital’s law enforcement agencies received a statement from a 1992 citizen who was working as a secretary at the Libya Embassy in Moscow, that at the beginning of the month she became a victim of sexual harassment from the temporary attorney in the affairs of Libya in the Russian Federation of Mustafa Said Abusaida," the agency’s interlocutor said. A check is carried out on this fact, he said.

Earlier on Thursday, the media reported that the temporary attorney of Mustafa Said Abusaida was already dismissed from his position with the wording "for inappropriate behavior." In addition, a special commission from Tripoli flew to Moscow for the trial. The delegation interviewed all parties and flew back to Libya, where a personnel decision will be made in relation to the guilty diplomat. According to one of the diplomatic officers, Mustafa Said has four wives, from one of whom he is divorced, and another lives with him in Moscow.

On September 3, as the Moscow Komsomolets writes, the leader asked his secretary to linger and invited about 15.30 to his office. The diplomat suggested that the employee go to the hotel with him. She responded with a decisive refusal, but this did not stop the head of the embassy.

Mustafa Said attacked his victim and pressed it against the wall. According to the victim, the diplomat began to dissolve his hands and tried to kiss her, then he wanted to disrupt the dress, but the girl managed to escape and run out of the office. Random witnesses of her escape were the driver of the diplomat, who, by accidental coincidence, returned to the chef, and the former employee who was waiting on the ground floor documents. Both men confirmed to law enforcement officers that she was scared and fled with a lifted dress and disheveled hair.

According to some reports, this incident was the last straw for many existing and former employees of the embassy, ​​which made up a collective complaint against Mustafa Said, which indicated that this incident was not the first.
