Yandex congratulated Google on the 20th anniversary, painting a logo in the colors of the competitor

On September 27, the Russian Internet search engine replaced its usual logo on the main page with Google's branded colors. In this way, the Yandex decided to congratulate competitors on the 20th anniversary.

The world's largest Internet search engine belonging to Alphabet holding was founded in the fall of 1998. Although Google Corporation was founded on September 2, 1998, and Google.com was registered on September 15, 1997, the search engine sometimes celebrates his birthday and another day: both on September 7 and September 27, the Wikipedia page dedicated to Google history.

Google also reminded users of his anniversary. On the main page of the search engine, a festive Dudl appeared on September 27. The click on it is launched by a short video, which demonstrates some achievements of the company in the field of search services, as well as various memes and important events of the last 20 years.

Note that the Yandex search engine began work in the fall of 1997, a year earlier than Google.
