Forward of St. Petersburg Zenit and the Russian national football team Alexander Kokorin may continue his career in Turkey. Besiktas is interested in the Russian forward, according to the Yenicag newspaper.
According to the source, the Turkish club is considering the option of acquiring Kokorin already in the winter transfer window. The Russian footballer must replace striker Cenk Tosun, who previously moved to Everton, RIA Novosti clarifies.
It is also reported that Besiktas head coach Şenol Güneş has already preliminarily approved Kokorin’s candidacy after watching a video of game moments involving the forward.
One of the leaders of the Russian national team, who recovered from a torn cruciate ligament in his knee, appeared on the field for the first time since the injury on September 23.
