As a result of the first round of voting on September 9, Konovalov won, United Russia candidate Viktor Zimin took second place. The second round was scheduled for September 23, Konovalov and Zimin were supposed to participate in it, but the latter withdrew his candidacy. As a result, the second round was postponed to October 7th. Konovalov and Filyagin were supposed to take part in it.
